miles that is and I'm toast.
Rode with the east side gang and overall had a good ride til the last 20 minutes or so when the wheels came off the wagon.
We escorted Tom to his job at Spin in Willoughby and took a short break and heard an interesting story from David about his Flickr admirer.
Then back we went and instead of splitting off with Jim and Peter I decided to hang with David, John and Chris. My legs will never forgive me for that. We did have an "Goat" sighting around the SOM road....who knows how long he had been out!
Packed up the Cooper and headed to BW3s for some chow with Mike, Chris, Gary & Sadie.
Hot tub and then bed for me.

Saturday Ride
Man, you know the weather sucks in Cleveland when everyone gets giddy when the sun finally shows itself for a few hours and the temp is above freezing.
Anyway....talked Donny, Gary & Satan to go out for "at least 40 miles" today...
It was great riding with Donny and the gang, but I gotta tell ya I'm getting real sick of the lack of sun and warmth. It was 67'F when I was in Looooieville and sunny.
I'm sure the good stuff is just around the corner.
The "real men" are already racing now and team SBR did pretty damn well at Malabar.
Mike Nies won the Cat 5/citizen race, Matt Tuskan finished in the field in the 4/5 race. David Stiener finished 5th in the 3/4 race after making the winning break.
Pete S rode hard and Chris B. finished 9th in the 3/4 race.
Congrats Guys!
It's a Mini Thing
Anna & I bought and drove with Aaron to Louisville this past week a '08 Mini Cooper Clubman
....and had 37.7 mpg from the first tank of gas that got us almost 500 miles. It's a blast to drive also and after a ride today (a separate post), I installed the bike rack on it. That wasn't the most fun I have had but maybe tomorrow I'll ride with the east side crew and give the rack a try.
Hmmmm, which car gets the garage?

The Ride b/f the Storm?
Got out today b/f 3-5" of snow is supposed to hit the area.....rode a total of just under 2 hrs and 30 miles.
This gave me the chance to test the new Oakley O Rokr Pro I just got in from our friends at Oakley. The O Rokr is a blue tooth equipped stereo receiver. I hooked up my iPod with the icombi made to work with the Oakley for a no wire listening experience. It was easy to setup and get working. The controls were easy to use and it even worked with my crackberry to send and receive phone calls. Cool.
Well, time to start watching the snow fall again.
Have a great Easter.

The weekend....
roughly 74 miles in two days....met up the the SBR gang Saturday (and Brent/Ray) heading towards Solon and back and felt pretty good on the Ritchey Ti followed by a solo ride yesterday on the R3 were the final 20 minutes sucked....it went from 40'F to 35' and a headwind; hands went numb, blah, blah, blah. Sigh.
It's all good though.
Happy St. Paddy's Day, All.
Off for a Guiness for me now.
Cheers!

Ride & Weight
Well I missed riding outside yesterday, so when it looked as nice as it did and with rain/snow in the forecast; like anyone from the Cleveland area, you take what you can get when you can. So out I go at noonish.....mid 40s and a headwind, but I'm not on the dang trainer at least. And this whole sunshine thing......so I get in a little over 21 miles
I stopped in at the Bike Authority to have my baby weighed....16.33 lbs.
While I'm goofing off, Rudy and Chris are working hard in the shop.....then Mike stops in saying he's taking a Cervelo Soloist Carbon out for a test ride so he & I ride together for a bit and I turn him on to the Chip race course loop and I head back to work.
Ahhhhhh, I feel much better tonight.....
Thanks for Reading,
Rick

eBay
The Titus Modena, Easton Circuit wheels w/Vittoria Rubinos, FSA sl-k & 3T stem are on eBay now.....
I got the Polar Power Sensor back and installed and may even have it working. Now I just need to start doing Sean's workouts.
Don't ya just love the pretty snow? Right Bill?
Last year around this time Gary & I were riding in the Tampa area I think. Damn.
Time to get on the trainer....yuk.

60'F ?????
Holy Cow....60'+ degrees today!
It wasn't a long ride, but was nice just to get out in a new skin suit without wearing everything I own to stay warm. That and the R3 felt pretty good with the new Ritchey Protocol Tubies.....
Oakleys are ordered & the GIRO Helmets too; 1-2 weeks and all the toys are in.
Back to Rain/Snow.
:-(

Base Miles
Finally a "base mile ride"; I've not done any even close to longer rides yet so Gary, Matt & John decided to meet on the Parkway to get a longer, lower intensity (LT or lower) I was all over it.
It was supposed to get to 44' or so so in wishful thinking I dressed lighter than normal for me this time of year including my goretex gloves I wear for cyclocross...
Well, when I rode past the bank in B-ville and saw the temp as only 31', I was like, these gloves are not going to work. At least I had shoe warmers on.....
Long story short, we had a great ride, a little cold and windy, but it was fun riding a pace line again with all the guys sport'n the new kits.
time - 3:34
HR - 134/162
55.2 miles
speed - 17/38.2
temp - 30' up to 39'F
1240' of climbing
Thanks for reading,
Rick
